DNA from bacterial cultures or PCR products are purified in 96 well microplates using a robotic biosystem (Tecan Genesis RSP200 and MWG Robotseq 2500). The fluorescent labelled sequencing products generated on a MWG Robotseq 2500 are separated by electrophoresis on 96 capillary sequencers (ABI 3730XL).
The HTS platform could achieve an average read length in the range of 700 to 900 Phred 20 (depending on the type of organism, the cloning strategy or the sequence direction). We offer highest capacities and shortest turn around times.
Plasmid extraction and sequencing of 10,000 clones is done easily within 10 working days.
An analysis for each read using the Phred/Phrap/Consed software package allows determining the quality of the DNA sequencing runs. This bioinformatic analysis has been automated and a report is placed in your download directory.
A classic report contains the "Score Phred 20" representing the number of high quality base calls (>=99%) for each read. You could also order a complete report with a more detailed statistical analysis.
All sequences data and chromatograms are available to researchers through our secure web interface.
