Research collaboration agreement between MilleGen and the CEA's Life Sciences Division. Collaboration relates to the development of a CEA’s patent (DRM/SNV) protecting a new protein, KLIP-1, a specific marker of the blood NK cell line (Natural Killer). The aim of this partnership is to obtain human recombinant antibody usable like research tools, diagnosis and possibly like therapeutic agents. Read more about this collaboration
MilleGen has developed a very efficient cloning technique of the variable genes of the heavy (VH) and light (VL) chains from a mouse monoclonal immunoglobulin. The variable domains could be processed throughMilleGen’s molecular evolution platforms to optimise the properties (affinity, avidity, activity…) of theparental monoclonal antibody.
Toulouse, France- March, 2004 - MilleGen and the Amyloid and Cell Division Cycle Laboratoryof CNRS (Roscoff, France) have entered into partnership to develop a new screening platform which accelerate drug discovery and disease-related target molecules focused on neurodegenerative disorders field.
The pool of the respective technological skills and know-how of each partner will accelerate the development of new applications for both proprietary technologies. As part of the project, researchers from MilleGen will work with the Amyloid and Cell Division Cycle Laboratory to design and develop news tools in order to increase the discovery of molecular pathways of the above described diseases. This work is focused on the development of human recombinant antibodies recognising specifically the diseases-related target defined above. These antibodies will allow to characterize the early events in the pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer disease.
