Hakim Kharrat, PhD, MBA, founder and CEO. Since January 1999 he is charge of MilleGen SA (23 people). Dr Kharrat is a Molecular Biologist, expert in recombinant protein expression and protein structural study. Previously a researcher at the EMBL Heidelberg, Germany for 6 years, he earned his PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Toulouse (France) and spent his PhD studentship in the Laboratoire de Biologie Moléculaire Eucaryotes (LBME) of CNRS (Toulouse, France). Dr Kharrat is graduated in “Management de l’Innovation et de la Technologie » from « Ecole Supérieur de Commerce » of Toulouse. KH is co-author of 12 peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on 6 published patents.
Khalil Bouayadi, PhD, co-founder and CSO. Dr Bouayadi earned his PhD in Molecular pharmacology at the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France, following which he spent two years as a post doc in Sylvius Laboratories (Leiden, Holland). He was then appointed Assistant Professor in cell and molecular biology for two years at Toulouse University. He is now the R&D director of MilleGen, making use of his long standing experience in molecular biology, microbiology, mutagenesis and cell biology. Dr Bouayadi is the author of 19 publications and patents.
Philippe Mondon, PhD, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and director of the Genomic Dept. Since January 2000, he is in charge of the Antibody Engineering and Directed Molecular Evolution laboratory (R&D) and also of the genomic analysis laboratory (12 people: 3 PhD, 4 engineers, 4 technicians and 1 PhD student). Dr Mondon is a Molecular Biologist, expert in recombinant antibody engineering and directed molecular evolution. Previously a researcher at the NIAID of the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, USA) for 3 years, Dr Mondon received his PhD of Molecular Biology from Grenoble University (France). PM is co-author of 18 peer-reviewed publications, editor of Biotechnology Journal (Wiley InterScience) and is an inventor on 3 published patents.
Anne Deflisque, MS, Business Development Manager.
She joined MilleGen in July 2007. She is in charge of business development and sales manager for the Service activity. She was previously employed by GE Healthcare as Industrial Projects Manager for 10 years. Anne Deflisque received her MS of biochemistry / molecular biology from Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, France) then an Engineer degree (Biological products engineering) from UTC (Compiègne, France).
Fabien Crozet, Ph.D and MS, is the Chief Information Officer of MilleGen SA and head of Bioinformatics Department. He got his PhD of Molecular Neurobiology and Genetic from Pasteur’s Institute, Paris. Dr Crozet spent, as a postdoctoral scientist and junior lecturer, 2 years in St George’s Hospital Medical School of London (cellular biology, embryogenesis) and 2 years in CNRS (neurogenesis, myogenesis, genetic), Toulouse. He is graduated in Bioinformatics from Toulouse University and Pasteur's Institute. FC is co-author of 10 peer-reviewed publications.
