Proprietary Technology
  1. MutaGenâ„¢: We have developed and patented a new and innovative genetic engineering technology, for antibody improvement. This random mutation technology uses, in vitro, natural low fidelity human polymerases, known as mutases (Pol beta, Pol iota, Pol eta), to generate mutant libraries (Mondon et al, Biotechnology J. 2007, 2:76-82, Edmond et al, Protein Eng. Des. Sel. 2008, 21:267-274). These mutases have been suggested to be involved in the somatic hypermutation (SHM) process responsible for natural antibody maturation. MutaGenTM is carried out on the entire variable domain (frameworks and complementary determining regions: CDRs) of heavy (HS_VH) and light (HS_Vlambda and HS_Vkappa) chains. Depending on the mutases used and the adapted replication conditions, we are then able to generate complementary mutation patterns with randomly distributed mutations. Patent WO/2002/0238756.
  2. Fully human monoclonal antibody library genetically engineered with natural and original diversity. In addition, a proofreading process has enriched the library with open reading frame (ORF) antibody sequences and improved the library quality. This new generation of library of 3.4 billion clones is one of the best optimized quality library on the market with 94 % of clones encoding full-length antibodies. The high rate of functional antibodies allow a rapid and successful screening in order to provide an even wider range of promising antibody drug candidates per target. Patent WO2007137616.
  3. MilleMab: Our new comprehensive platform includes cloning, humanisation and optimisation , when starting from a rodent mAb.
  4. MilleGate : Integrated to our antibody discovery platform, MilleGate is a web-based toolbox suitable for any DME project which integrates specialized tools dedicated to antibody studies. This bioinformatics toolbox and database allow filtering, selecting, doing statistics and annotating a wide diversity of variants sequences generated by DME platform. MilleGate integrates a public and proprietary database in order to explore relevant functional relationship surrounding the antibody of interest and to provide information on what kinds of functional influences at a specific position on protein sequence by taking into account industrial property situation.
