MilleGen S. A. established in October 1999 is a french biotech company specialized in genetic engineering of antibody and directed molecular evolution. MilleGen has developed a highly integrated business strategy that consists of near and long term goals for financing the increasing costs of developing industrial products.
The Company's proprietary technology MutaGen™ platform is related to the discovery and optimisation of novel proteins (affinity, activity, stability and/or specificity) and provides a range of licensing and partnering opportunities.
The initial goal of MilleGen was to establish its protein diversity platform technologies as essential tools for Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies who are developing novel proteins for application as therapeutic agents, diagnostics or for industrial or agricultural applications.
Millegen has focused its research and development in genetic engineering of recombinant antibody. MilleGen has use its proprietary MutaGen™ molecular evolution technology platform to generate large libraries of randomly mutated variants. A high throughput screening platform (cell and robotic) allows a fast screening of the mutants.
By using the patented technology MutaGen™, MilleGen has genetically engineered human recombinant antibody libraries (Mutalbank) with highly improved complexity. The screening of this new library is offered to the customers as a service/contracted work. This antibody discovery platformallows selecting and engineering human antibodies from the library to the specific targets provided by customers.
For the longer term, we are building a portfolio of proprietary therapeutic products through utilisation of our unique technologies in association with research partners.
A pipeline of highly important industrial, biotechnological and therapeutic molecules are in development.
We expect to out-license our products for development at the clinical stage.
